Timothy Scanlon Obituary
Penfield: July 27, 2017 at age 82. Predeceased by brother, John; sister, Margaret Streicher; son-in-law, Tim Merriman. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy; daughters, Sheila, Colleen Leibenguth, Kathleen Richardson, Nora Merriman; grandchildren, Ryan, Timothy, Ian, Brennan, Meaghan, Conor, Catherine; sister, Theresa Radel; several nieces and nephews. Timothy was an avid golfer, loved his family and was proud of his Irish heritage. The family would like to express their thanks for the care given to Timothy over the last several years by Liz and Sarah.
No prior calling. Timothy's Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Dear Judy and the Scanlon Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Tim's recent passing. I knew Tim at RG&E, played golf with him several times, and knew him for that terrific sense of humor.
"May thy ball lie in green pastures... and not in still waters."

I only knew Tim for a short time - a few years. To say he had influenced my life is an understatement. I remember his steady intelligence and ability to quickly articulate the root of a question. I remember we shared his humor and his love of golf albeit we only played once or twice together. Mostly I remember his integrity. His desire to do right when wrong was easier. I remember Tim fondly and am sorry that he is gone.
