Sam was my Pershing Rifle brother at BGSU IN THE Fall of 1971. We spent alot of time as fraternity brothers in Pershing RIFLES. He was a good P/R BROTHER... My warm condolences to his family.

Sorry To See that Sam passed away in the BGSU Alumni Magazine. Sam & I pledged Pershing Rifles at BGSU in the fall of 1971. He and I were close and went thru all that pledge stuff fraternities put you thru.

Sam was a dear friend that I had the pleasure of meeting at his days at Westinghouse. A gentle giant whose kindness and loyalty will never be forgotten. He brought sunshine into the lives of all he met. RIP.

Jean & Chip-
We are lost for words to support you. Ralph and I will miss Sam as our neighbor, and cherish the good neighbor that he was. Just last night Ralph recalled a time that we (Shields and Catons too) met at Bob's Diner and we were all together. Please know that we care very much about you, and do not hesitate to call us. I will miss seeing his car leave early in the morning as I go by your house. I am sure he is fishing all the time now!
