I was so saddened to hear Mr. Kessler has passed away. I worked with him in the early '80s and he was always a delight. A real gentleman and I always admired him. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to learn of Irv's passing. Having practiced law with him for over 30 years, I always found him to be a true gentleman, as well as a gentle man. He was a first rate lawyer of unimpeachable integrity who always gave his best for his clients. He was liked, trusted and admired by all who worked with him.

What a kind and special man! I'd love to think that Irv and Andy (Greenstein who died 5/9/11) are having grand conversations in a peaceful place and looking out for all of us.

I will forever remember Mr. Kessler and his bowties. I have immense respect for him on a personal level with all the great charity work he did, never wanting any recognition or fanfare; and as a co-worker, where you could always count on seeing him in the office no matter what. His work ethic and the overall friendliness he showed to all, no matter where on the corporate ladder you were, was something to admire and should be a lesson for younger attorneys.

I am truly grateful to have known him. My prayers go out to his family for their loss.

Irving was a neighbor who was (and is) highly esteemed by those who lived near his family on St. Paul Boulevard and Thorndyke Road. May his soul rest in peace.

Irv was a "gentleman" that everyone in this life should have had the opportunity to meet. In my 43 years in the banking industry in Rochester, N.Y. , I had the good fortune to work and interact with Irv. He truly exemplfied goodness!

Though I haven't seen Irving in about a decade, he always amazed me. A quiet man, he was kind, kept up with the times, and had amazing energy. His love for tennis had him playing well beyond the age of many. He had my respect. May you be at peace, Mr. Kessler.

Irv was a dear friend of our family for 40 years. The perfect gentleman, bright, thoughtful, peaceful, and inner city community minded. It was folks like Irv who truly "built this city!"

While he was not my biological "Uncle," he was and always will be my "Uncle Irv."
One of the greatest of men. He would drive me to High School almost every day on his way to work. He would show movies at a Hospital for children each week. Only the Holy One knows all his great deeds, for they were numerous and he was a humble man. I am deeply indebted to the example he set. And I believe there are many more whose lives were enhanced because they knew him. What a great loss. My prayers and thoughts to all of the family and all those that grieve. He is one in a billion.
