I was so sorry to hear about Mary Ann. I had the honor of taking care of her several times at Strong in the past, and I will never forget the conversations we had... books, travel, and laughter, even as she was going through her treatments. My thoughts are with her family.

Dear Ed, Irma and family,
Sad news travel and have also reached London. I’m so sad to hear about Mien. I have excellent memories of us when we were just 14 staying over at your place in La Moraleja and at Sunday school…
I pray for her and I pray for all of you. May God be with you and give your strength through this heartache.
Lots of love,
Nieves

Dear Jolene, Irma, and Ed,
Caring for Mary Ann was an honor and a privilege. I will remember her and her wonderful spirit for many years to come. Her smile and wit in the face of such pain and fear was truly an inspiration.

Dear Jolene, Baby Anna and Rachel,
Mary Ann was one of the finest human beings that one could know. You were the love of her life and brought her a happiness and joy that penetrated all around her. She will always be remembered for her kindness and her laugh.
My deepest sympathy to all of you.

We were sorrowed to hear that Mary Ann had succumbed to her battle with Leukemia after such a valiant struggle. I remember her telling us how, that during her time at home recovering from a hospital stay, the view of our blossoming cherry and crabapple tree gave her such hope and strength to get better. I know that now her love blossoms within her family and friends and I hope that it gives them the same hope and strength to recover from their loss.
