Ronald Borkhuis Obituary
Elizabethton, TN: Ronald Lewis Borkhuis, age 79. Formally of Mendon, NY passed away August 13, 2015. He fought a courageous battle with Mesothelioma lung cancer. He was preceded by his Father and Mother Claude and Helen Nix Borkhuis, son Jeffery Borkhuis, Sister Sharon Wink, Brother Gary Borkhuis. He is survived by wife Donna, son Jerry Borkhuis (Peggy) of Honeoye Falls, NY and Jimmy Borkhuis of Jonesboro, TN. Brother Dale Borkhuis, Charlotte, NC. Grandson J.T Borkhuis, Athens, AL, Great Grandson Jaxon Borkhuis, Step-Son Dean Rainbolt (Dawn) Hampton, TN, Step-Daughter Kimberly Taylor (Tony) Elizabethton, TN, Step Grandson Elijah Rainbolt. Special little buddy Adreyan Burrow. And several nieces and nephews.
Ron was a Kodak retiree, also a thirty-second degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lima, NY and an active member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church. He was active in the Geneses Valley Antique Car Club and the AACA Car Club.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held September 13, 6:00 pm at Lynn Valley Baptist Church, Elizabethton TN.

Ron was not just a great friend he was part of our family. Friends for 50ears. Our daughters Judy Allison and Patti Davis were like daughters to him. He was late Bruce Peases and my Masonic brother. At least Bruce, Ron Coleman and Ronnie will be together again in Heaven. Oh no, poor heaven with those three there. Probably having a clam bake. Remb erring all the great times we all had. Rest in peace Ron. Love Lois
