He will be missed. What a great man and uncle to me. So many wonderful memories. The family holidays and summer picnic reunions were such an important part of my memories. And, of course, mom often reminded us about how the Witmeyers and Hebings grew up right next door to each other. Sending our love and sympathy to all of you.

Don, I heard of your Dad's passing through a friend. Although it's been years since I've seen your family I fondly remember your Dad. He was a sweet man and that smile .. just as I remember it. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Nancy Simunek

To the family of Stan Witmeyer:

What a gentleman and giant he was! I recall from time to time the summers with him at Camp Eagle Cove in the Adirondacks and being friends with his children especially Donald, now all grown up. I've had the opportunity to talk about Uncle Bello and Stanley under the summer skies on occasions with family and friends; they made positive impressions on me during my formative years. He will be missed.

Keep his memory and spirit alive always. "Schultzie"

What a loss for us all. Stan and I have kept in contact for over 50 years. It was he who made me value art. We spoke by phone every week or so. I valued his comments and his insight. I told Stan I loved him, and I will always love him. He knew my family and we had many discussions about those days gone by. I will treasure my memories of him and I will try to live up to his vision. So much was about the vision, publically and privately. I am so grateful to have had his friendship and guidance for so many decades. His was a truly generous spirit, which we are not likely to see again soon in this world. In sorrow, Brian Shapiro

Bob,
As you know your dad was one of my favorite people at RIT, always so genuine, friendly, and dedicated to RIT.
I always spoke with him at the Retiree Dinner and the Golden Circle Alumni Reunion. I'm so fortunate to have known Stan all these years. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

I am very sorry to hear of Stan's death, and have so many wonderful memories of him through the years--not only at the Witmeyer reunions and at the lake cottage, but from phone calls and time spent together, often on my trips to Ithaca NY with my late husband, David. I know how dearly he has been loved by many for his creativity, his enthusiasm, his kindness, and I speak for the entire Bone family in having been fortunate to know him as a friend and as a dearly beloved first-cousin.
