Irondequoit: Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 44. Survived, by his wife Melinda Dotson Laprade, children, Kelly (18), Jack (9), and Kristin (7), his mother, Joann Lucas, father, Edward (Renate') Laprade, step-mother, Judy (Bryan) Guiliano, brothers, Chris (Erin) Laprade and Kevin (Sarah) Schenck, sister, Kimberly Schenck; many nieces, nephew, cousins and dear friends.

Born in Watertown, NY, Steve graduated from Fairport HS in 1988, Michigan State University in 1993 and University of Buffalo School of Law in 1997. Steve was a loving husband, father, son and friend. He embodied generosity and kindness in all he said and did. He will be dearly missed and remembered fondly.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, June 4th from 4:00- 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family on Thursday, June 5th, 10am at Northridge Church (2052 St. Paul Blvd, 14621) for his funeral service. Interment will follow at Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Visiting Nurse Service Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580.
