Joneil Olds

1928 - 2013

Joneil Raymond Olds, age 84, of Centennial, died January 16, 2013. He was born October 11, 1928, in Sterling, CO. He obtained his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Oklahoma State University where he was elected to multiple academic honor societies and to the Sigma Phi Epsilon social fraternity. He was employed by Amoco Production Company for 42 years, retiring in 1993. He was involved at Amoco with the design and operation of gas processing plants throughout the Rocky Mountain region as well as offshore drilling and production platforms in Cook Inlet, Alaska. Traveling, skiing, golfing, and genealogy were his favorite pastimes. He is survived by his wife Helen, sister Patricia (Donald) Lloyd, son Robert (Barbara) Olds, grandsons Gary and Devon, and daughter Carole Olds. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his time with his family. A Memorial Service will be held on January 24, 2013, 2:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 9720 US Hwy 85 N in Highlands Ranch. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Grace Presbyterian Youth Ministry.
