Jeffrey Kinder Obituary

"Finally Free "
On August 22, 2012 my "Jeffro" chose to end his long struggle with addiction. Jeffrey was born at LDS Hospital, April 12, 1975 at 11:00pm. Jeff battled his way into this world "butt first". In the loving arms of his
"Mama" he made it through major head surgery at only 7 wks old. This started his headstrong approach to life.
Everything he did, he did 100%.
Jeff grew up in Magna Utah in a tight knit family: his Father, Terry Kinder; Mother, Susan Austin Kinder, and older Brother, Brandon Kinder. Jeff lived life to the fullest. Whether it was working in their family store American Lumber, or running around playing in his "town". Jeff was the class clown and would do anything for a laugh. Even if this meant his teachers were pulling their own hair out. He flourished in sports and loved gymnastics which he attended with his life long friend Belinda Dansie Langford. He idolized his big brother until the day he died and often said "I wish I was half the man my brother is".
As a teen, Jeff met and married Michelle Griffin and they had their beautiful daughter, Samantha Kinder. She was born on August 24, 1993 and was the light of his life. He graduated from Cottonwood High School the same year. He even worked his charm and magic while incarcerated. He was the fierce defender of the underdog, becoming big brother to countless inmates,
and was known as the "knock out king". He didn't spend idle time while at the Utah State Prison. He had several jobs, including electrician. He earned an Associates Degree in construction from Utah State University. He completed the drug program ConQuest,
becoming a peer counselor and earning numerous commendations for his work and always having the most clean cell.
His Father "One Eye" was his best friend and hero for his strength, tenacity, and loyalty.
Jeff and Tonya met on October 7th 2005. He proposed on Christmas Eve of 2005 and we were married at "The Little White Wedding Chapel" in Las Vegas and shared an anniversary with his parents of May 16 2006. We had our son Jak on October 12 2006 and all our dreams had come true. Over the next 6 1/2 years Jeff fought his addictions and spent time incarcerated off and on. But in between, Jeff did the things he loved. He spent time fishing on his boat, driving his Dodge Ram, spending time with loved ones, especially his nephews and nieces. He loved being a Dad and husband, and was the love of my life. He worked in plumbing with his brother and helped run the family business BK Plumbing. He laughed hard and made others laugh harder. If Jeff considered you and friend he would go to any length to prove his loyalty. He was also excited to embark on a new career driving a cement truck, and was so proud of himself for getting his CDL drivers license. We are all left with the question of "Why"? The only answer I have come up with is Jeff didn't lose his battle to drugs. Jeff won on his own terms.
Survived by: Parents Terry Kinder and Susan Austin Kinder, wife Tonya Ruble Kinder, daughter Samantha Kinder (fiancé-Boyce Morton), Jak Kinder, brother Brandon Kinder (Brandy Todd),Nieces: Brittany Kinder, Lauren Murphy (Dylan); nephews: Ryan Kinder (Michelle), Jordan Kinder (Melissa), Riley Kinder, Carter Kinder, Jordan Grymes (Brittany), Bailey Bolton, Ryder Murphy, Bennett Grymes. Jeff was extremely excited about the upcoming birth of his grandson in January.
Jeff is proceeded in death by Grandparents Armond Kinder, Darlene Rasmussen Kinder, Eldin Austin, and Grace Kugle Austin. Uncles, Dave Kinder and Bud Anderson.
We welcome any who would like to join our Celebration of Jeff's life.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, with a viewing prior from 10-11:45 a.m. More information can be found, and online condolences may be shared at www.Jenkins-Soffe .com.

I think of the Kinder family often, I remember working next to Terry in the American Lumber Truck as a young man. I miss Terry's ability to bring a laugh out of any situation!:) I sadly do not know many of the youngsters, but my heart goes with you. Kinders are good people.

Just sitting here looking at our boy sleep. He seems so grown now. Each day he does our says something that reminds me of you. It seems so long since I last looked into those blue eyes. Or felt your strong arms around me. Now your dad is with you and while it comforts me that you two are together, it hurts so much losing you both. It's hard here without you baby. I pray I'm doing a good job with jak and wish you were here to guide him through his growth from a boy to a man. But if wishes were horses right my love. I still miss and love so very much. The pain is still so easily found and I don't know when or how it will fade. I love you my heart. I miss you more with every breath. Forever and beyond Clyde love your Bonnie xoxoxo

You are finally free my friend. You was like my little brother, always asking for advice and wanting to know how to better yourself for your wife and kids. Always the "class clown", always being your goofy self to make people laugh. I will miss you bro, you was a good loyal friend, father and husband. My sympathy goes to Jeffs family, may you be at peace knowing Jeff is not struggling daily with his addiction. My prayers are with you all. Rest in peace bro, I have nothing but Love and
Respect for you and yours. God Bless You All..........

it has takem me this long to find this page. What a great Idea. Jeffr wads my Nephew. He was dear to my heart. even though i didn't see him much as an adult I saw him alot as a boy and a teenager. He would struggle with things at home and he would come to stay with me. A few days later he would cool down and go home. This time was special to me becaause i got to know him well. When he camee out of prison and met Tonya he looked so good and happy. I will nevewr forget that christmas. we hugged eachother so tight i thought i was going to break. At thaty point I hadn't seen him for many years. The next time I saw him was at his grandmas funeral. Even though it was a sad time he was happy that day. I watched him go around and console everyone he saw crying. I got many hugs that day. I pray now that ypou have gone on to the next life that all is well with you. May the chains that held you her be broken. The addictions you had be gone from you forever. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ was waiting with his loving arms to greet you. Be at peace with those Family members and Friends who havew gone before you Jeff. I have loved you all of your life. Uncle Paul and myself met just 3 months after you were born. May the love of Christ be with your Parents, Brandon, The love of your Life Tonya, and your 2 beautiful children Samantha and Jak. I have missed your smile for many years but I know that you are smiling now!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe the news when they told me that you were gone. I just saw your smiling face not too long ago. You were always happy and just had this way with people. I know that you are at peace now.. you are finally with Grandma Kinder and the rest of the family that has passed on. I am sure that they were there to greet you with open arms where you are at peace and finally are free. I can only hope that with this loss people realize what a great blessing that life really is and that they enjoy it to the fullest as you have. I am going to miss you!!!! I miss you calling me baby Sherry as you always did. I love you!!! I love the family, and may they know that I am here for them.

I would just like to first say, how sorry I am for your loss. I didn't know Jeffrey. I just wanted to say that I feel you are making a huge difference in the lives of others when you mentioned he lost his life to his addiction. Often, when reading the obituaries, there is no cause of death mentioned. I believe that your mention of it is a help to other's suffering with addictions. Maybe through your loss and pain it will prompt someone to get help, talk to someone, realize the severity of their problems, reach out to others. I want to thank you, because through your unselfishness, of sharing yourself this way, I believe you are touching lives, lives you don't even know you are reaching out to, randomly, and making a difference. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. If you would contact me, I have a poem I would like to share with you that will not fit here, and a story.
