Clinton Bauer Obituary

Clinton George Bauer
1980 ~ 2015
Clinton George Bauer (Clint the Cancer Warrior), 34, valiantly finished his mission on earth on Monday, September 28, 2015 after a courageous 15-year battle with Chondrosarcoma Bone Cancer. His Dream Girl kissed him as he triumphantly returned home to the applause of his Heavenly Father and into the arms of his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of service, humility, kindness, and most important an undying love for his eternal family.
Clint was born on September 30, 1980 in Moab, Utah. Clint loved growing up in the community of Grantsville, UT. He leaves behind many friends, teammates, and coaches he grew to love there. Clint's peers in high school voted him friendliest Senior. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him. Clint was a gear head and loved cars, especially restoring old cars. He owned a '68 Plymouth Satellite he had been working on for years, which he almost saw completed. Clint will find great joy as his friends complete the "unicorn" and take it for it's first drive as it leads the way to his final resting place. Clint was a talented baseball player and was awarded a scholarship to play baseball at Ricks College. However, Clint's first priority was serving an LDS mission. He was called to serve the people of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in February of 2000. While serving his mission, Clint noticed a lump growing near his right hip. Doctors sent him home for testing and he later underwent surgery where they removed his entire right hip crest. After enduring weeks in the hospital and grueling rehab, Clint went back to work for a lawn care company where he met his sweetheart Kamille. Kamille was truly Clint's princess and he was her prince charming. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple, June 7, 2002. Their love story is a fairytale that will last for eternity. Clint graduated with a degree in Business Finance from Westminster University and worked as a stockbroker for Zions Bank. Clint was a faithful servant of our Father in Heaven. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served valiantly in several positions in the church and found joy in serving his Father in Heaven. Clint's greatest love and treasure is his family. He loved and adored them with his entire being. This was evident as he battled cancer courageously these past years to stay with his family he loved so dearly. Clint, thank you for teaching us how to be humble, strong, love unconditionally, strive to do better, and be a friend to all. Our hearts are broken without you physically here, but our spirits are strengthened, as we know families are forever. You will forever be our Hero and Warrior, we pray we will make you proud and faithfully endure our battles like you until we meet again. Survived by his Dream Girl, Girlfriend, wife, and Fan Club President - Kamille; his amazing children that were his treasures, Neiska, Gunner, and Wyatt; Parents, Danny Leonard and Connie Lyn (Schultz) Bauer; Brothers Tyson (Paval) Bauer, Dirk Bauer; mother and father-in-law, Nathan Eugene & Laura (Fish) Vance; along with many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents Leonard and Audrey Dee (Swaner) Bauer.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and the teams of doctors and nurses who worked so hard to take care of Clint, specifically Dr. Lor. Randall, and Dr. Evan Brady, to their Epic Cancer Family, Gardner Village Family, and to their many friends, neighbors and loved ones for the amazing outpouring of love and support that were their angels on earth!

Kamille, you are an inspiration to all. Your family has been such a GREAT example to my family. You guys radiate love. I am so grateful to have been able to have seen that love your family shares for each other first hand. I have never seen a couple be so completely in love with one another as you and Clint. Especially with the hardships you guys had to face as a couple and as a family. My heart is so heavy for the huge loss you and your kids are going through. Clint touched so many people's lives including mine. I know families are eternal, and my family will be eternally grateful for the example of your special family. Clint will never be forgotten, we love your family.

I never met anyone who did look up to Clint or love being around him. It was impossible to find fault with him, which explains his short earthly mission. It was my pleasure to know Clint and learn from him. His Satellite referred to in the obituary is beautiful and will serve as a reminder of him for many years to come. Every time I see it, I will think of Clint.

Not too long ago I gave Connie( Clint,s Mother) a ride to a dance recital it see Neishka dance. Clint met us at the car lifted her wheel chair out and pushed her into the school building. My heart was so touched at how sweet he was with his mother that day. He was so kind and thoughtful to her. So many people in the little town of Grantsville love him and speak so highly of him. I know he is a special spirit and have enjoyed the few short experiences I have had with him and his beautiful children and wife. My heartfelt prayers go out to all of you at this time. Thankfully , the knowledge we have of eternity will help us to know this is but a moment. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

I was blessed to watch Clint grow, he was a fantastic, cheerful boy who became a wonderful man, father and husband. Altho his time was short with us he also gave his heart and soul, we can treasure the memories we all have of Clint. Peace and comfort to his family! He awaits your reunion. May God bless you all!

Clint has always been an exemplary young man. He loved the Lord and had a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. He took what life gave him and was always filled with gratitude. God bless all those who so deeply mourn his passing. God be with you till we meet again.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Clint, I have followed him on facebook. He has been an inspiration to me during my trials and made me realize how blessed we are. His love for his family and Heavenly Father is just a testimony as to the wonderful person he was. My prayers go out to his wife and children. Know that he is with you. Bless you.

It's funny the things we remember. Back in 6th grade, we entered Mrs. Hamatake's class to find the desks rearranged into 'tables' of four. We took our seats, Clint being across from me. We must have been playing some sort of "how well do you know" game. One of the tests was to correctly spell the last name of the person sitting across from you. Upon hearing this, Clint did a fist pump and declared, "YES". He knew he won that round! (my last name being Brand). I thought I could outsmart him, knowing his name wasn't as it sounded. But alas, he still won.
The words written here are true, Clint really was the nicest guy. I don't recall him ever being mean to anyone. He reminds me of a story I heard from my dad several years ago.

"There was a group of women in a Bible study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three they came across verse three which says, "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study. That week the woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that, in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest so as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot - then she thought again about the verse, that He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. For if the silver was left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's the easy part -- when I see my image reflected in it."

God saw his image in Clint. What an honor to have known him.

The thing about Clint was that no matter what was going on in his life, others always came first. He put his wife and kids before himself. He put his friends before himself. He was always the first to ask how you were doing. If you asked how he was, he would tell you, but you would never hear him complain. Clint was and is a whole heartedly good man. I know he will continue to watch over his family and guide them throughout their lives as he watches over them just as he did here on earth. I will miss his smile and am glad he has won his battle with cancer through never giving up the valiant fight and is now without his earthly pain! My prayers go for his family, for their comfort in this time of grief and that they may find peace in his passing in the knowledge that they will meet again! My love goes towards him and the entire Bauer and Vance family.
