Beulah was one of my Aunt Pat's sisters. Aunt Pat talked of her often and I always felt I knew her. You could recognize her anywhere as she was a poised and classy woman.

Beulah always recognized my siblings and me. She made you feel important.

Her life story speaks to graciousness, dedication, and contribution. She will be missed.

An outstanding grandmother who loved liberally and had an energetic pride for every one of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

So many conversations with Grandma Petersen spent discussing education and the role this played in her life have shaped my trajectory so profoundly.

When we asked her about Papa (Vern) and choosing a spouse, all Grandma Petersen had to say, with a sweet smile on her face, was, "when it comes to marriage, what really matters is that you adore each other."

Your ability to both love and lead won't be forgotten, Grandma. I'll always miss you, but I'm happy to know I have even some of your genes. I will always strive to make you proud.

The best grandmother a boy could have ever asked for. Intelligent, shrewd businesswoman, kind teacher, life of the party and beautiful inside and out - you will be missed Grandma!A favorite memory - listening to her razz my brother after he brought a girlfriend to his house he met on the Internet. "I'm glad you came, but I suppose we could have just all done this over the Internet and spared you the trip!" The smile on her face after that zinger was priceless.

As a child Buelah was like a mother to me. I remember sliding on terry cloth towels to polish wood floors in her home in Montpelier, and sharing pancakes for breakfast. Complaining about big elbows as we hung clothes and finding amazing love and joy in her all exclusive life and love. I joy with all of you in having known and loved your Mom, Grandmom, Great grand mom and great great grandmother. with fond memories and deep appreciation.

Last time I saw her, Aunt Beulah told me a wonderful story. Beulah loved Gone with the Wind. As a teenager, she read it with her head stuck out from under her bed. When her Mom came looking for her to work in the house, Aunt Beulah would scoot back under the bed and disappear. That way, she could finish this thrilling book uninterrupted.

Aunt Beulah loved the book so much, when the movie came out, she got tickets for both her and her Grandma Janette. Her Grandma had never been to a movie! They both loved it. So Beulah offered to take her to another movie. But why? was the reply. I've already seen the best movie ever made!

When Beulah moved to Montpelier, I was a child in her ward and I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world. She was kind, generous, and very loving. A few years ago, she came to my office at USU. I had not seen her for years and she told me about some grandchildren in another state and wanted to know about the Utah legacy program that allowed out of state waivers for children and grandchildren of Aggies. Whe looked familier, but it was only as she left that I realized it was her. I walked with her out of the building and we shared memories of my youth and talked about her children and grandchildren. Still kind and genrous and caring. She is still the most beautiful women I have met.

Of the many things I remember, my Aunt Beulah was a fabulous cook!!! When I was a teenager, I asked why her meals were so incredibly delicious! She humbly replied "I always add lots and lots of butter!!! Good advice, my dear aunt Joe McCowin
