Beatrice Laver Obituary

1925 ~ 2012
Eleanor passed away on October 11, 2012 in Millcreek, Utah. She was born on March 17, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Beatrice Ware. She was the oldest of three children. Eleanor graduated from South High School and earned her teaching degree from the University of Utah.
Eleanor was active in Job's Daughters and Delta Gamma Sorority. In 1948 she was one of the first kindergarten teachers in Hilo, Hawaii.
Eleanor married Charles Laver on March 31, 1951 in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. In 1957 they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She served in numerous LDS Church callings, including Primary President, Ward Relief Society President, and Stake Relief Society President. Her favorite calling, however, was with the 11-year-old Scouts.
Eleanor has sensed God's presence her entire life. One of her favorite childhood memories was reading the Bible with her grandmother. She always was loving and caring to all. Everyone was her family, neighbor and friend.
Eleanor is survived by her five children; Jeff, Todd, Nate (Sonya), Sue, and Andrew (Jennifer), ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Ginny Hestmark, and brother, Reuel (Dorothy) Ware. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents, and granddaughter Emily.
The family will receive visitors Monday, October 15, 2012 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at the East Mill Creek 7th Ward, 3408 Celeste Way (3120 East), on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
