1945 - 2013
Spring City, UT-Richard Dennis Watson, 68, was unexpectedly called home June 20, 2013. Born in Mt. Pleasant on May 22, 1945 to Frank C & Genniel Baxter Watson. He spent most of his life in Spring City with short absences for a New Zealand LDS Mission and work at the Utah Air National Guard. Married to Kaye in SLC they had 3 children. Active in church and community. Survived by wife; sons, Roger (Holly), Eric (Janielle); 5 grandkids; siblings, F. Michael, Pamela Jorgensen, Donald. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Christine, sister Noreen. Funeral services June 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Spring City Rock Church. Viewings Tues. June 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant & Wed. 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to service.

I was so surprised to read of Dennis' passing this weekend. I have many fond memories of years spent with him at the Utah Air National Guard in the PDO. He was a kind and good man. Our prayers are with you. We give thanks for the knowledge that your separation will be only temporary.

Dear Watson Family,
We send you our love and prayers. Dennis will be missed by so many people, including us. We will miss seeing him herd his sheep down the streets of Spring City to new pastures. We will miss his sheep grazing on 2nd West.
It is comforting to know that Dennis, a wonderful shepherd, is with The Shepherd that will welcome all of us home someday.
May the Lord bless you with peace in the coming days, and peace during the bittersweet moments in weeks, months and years to come when you miss him especially. The veil is so thin at times. May it brush your cheek often as you think of Dennis, knowing he is near.
