I was so sorry to read about Jeff. My brother, Matt Simmons, and Jeff were debate partners at Davis High and very good friends. Because of this, I knew Jeff very well and admired him always. My brother, Matt, died in August 2010.
Jeff was so capable and everyone admired him. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. We will always remember him.

This is belated but still heartfelt, as we just learned of the death of our classmate and friend. Jeff was always kind, courteous, and a true gentleman. His intelligence and drive were a great example to all of us who knew him. May God bless and be with you and your family.

To my dear and loving Que Que Shwee. When I heard of your departure, I cried and cried. I am sad that I was not able to talk with you once more before you left this place. You are one of a kind. I can still hear your laugh in my head and am so grateful of your compassionate giving soul. I wish I knew more of your passing. I wish we could have gathered for you and celebrated your life, but I celebrate your life by passing on your message. Thank you for everything that you gave me. Your love and wisdom. You and I will see each other again.
With much Love

I was sorry to read of Jeff's passing. I was in the Kaysville Ward with your family when you moved here and also went to high school with Jeff. He was always a fun person to be around and most considerate of others. He made a good officer and friend. Saw him at a couple of the class reunions. He seemed to be ahead of his time with his causes and I am sure did much good. My condolences to all the family,

Jeff was a very special man--brilliant and artistic. He befriended my brother who has mental illness at a very difficult time and really advocated for him. We lost touch with him over the last year. I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a unique soul--we will miss him.

We are sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. The years your family lived in Montpelier are treasured by all of us from the Peterson household. He and his borhters added so much to our lives and when you moved and the Sparks' as well, the town was never quite the same. We wish you all the best and hope our paths cross.

I well remember Jeff from my senior year at Davis High School. He was our Student Body President, and rightly so. He was kind, involved with others, and exuded great leadership skills. I was lucky enough to be in French class with him and his friends and remember how brilliant he was. I am sorry for your loss, but it seems to me that he made a real difference in his time making a significant, positive difference in the lives of others. I hope that these few words bring some comfort to you, his family. Sincerely, Marcia (Cassell) Mitton, Draper, UT}

Dear Jeff's Mom, Eliza,
I can see you as if it were yesterday...such a beautiful and regal lady. Jeff has been in my 'special' memory collection since we were both in Jr. High in Montpelier. We had quite a crush on each other and wrote loads of notes back and forth, he wrote me poems and we DID share a 'first' kiss. I have often wondered where he was and knew in my heart whatever he accomplished, it would be great. And now he has gone to the Light where he will continue to watch over you. I send you comfort,Love and Light at this time.

Eliza and Val,
I echo Randy's sentiments. The Nye family has been a very important part of our lives---from Montpelier, to Layton, to Kaysville. I really loved Jeff. When he was elected Studentbody President at Davis, it was as though a family member had been elected. I have always admired his sincere devotion to the causes that he believed in.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. The Sparks family loves all of you.
