Dear Amy,
I want you to know that I heard about the tragic loss of your husband from a mutual friend, and I have been keeping you and your boys in my thoughts and prayers ever since. After reading the beautiful obituary you wrote, it was obvious that Jason was a very special man. I'm so glad that you found him and had such a wonderful life with him, even if your time together here was too short. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I pray that your family and friends will encircle you in their arms and walk with you through your grief and sorrow. Please know that even old and distant friends are thinking of you and lifting you up in prayer.
Sincerely,
Alisa (Baxter) Van Cleave

Being from salt lake years ago I often read the obituaries to see if I missed hearing about anyone close. I didn't know Jason, but your obituary brought tears to my eyes as none have ever done. He seems like a wonderful person with an equally great family. My thoughts are with you during this hard time. Hold strong!

I only knew Jason from iprint canvas and he was always so good to me. He made me feel so special and cared about. He always talked about his boys and how much fun they were and how much he loved them. I'm truly heartbroken that such a wonderful man is gone. He really was just one of those special people that everyone felt comfortable around. My prayers are with his loved ones.

As I was paging through the obituaries yesterday, the picture of your loved one immediately caught my eye. His picture just exudes kindness. So I began to read further and from what I read, I was right. This obituary touched me so much that I felt the need to share it with my Son last night. I thought about him and you and your sweet boys all night. I know from experience that it is so difficult to lose someone so very special. But because he was so special, the special things about him will carry you through. I am so sad for your boys. If only he could have stayed a bit longer, but then again when would have been a good time. Just know that you and yours are in my prayers. May Jason rest in peace and may you and your boys be able to carry on. You touched my heart. Just know that a stranger cares.

Jason, I'm just floored. I looked you up a week ago on face book to show my sister your picture. We were talking about our past and friends that we don't see or hear from now. I thought of you, like I have for years. We had such a good friendship and were always trying to help each other find a great spouse. I have so many memories of us working at Hillcrest Care Center and hanging out after work. I totally lost tract of you after you worked so many hours at Layton Construction. I'm writing this and still in shock...... I just want to say you were a wonderful friend and always brought a smile to my face. I'm so glad you found someone so special and have some beautiful boys and a beautiful wife. It's really kind of weird I looked you up last week and now something told me to look in the obits and here you are. I'm just torn apart that I never got to say goodbye. You'll always be special to me and many others. My prayers are with you and yours.....

As so many others, I have always been such a fan of Jason's! I'm grateful for the opportunity to have known him through his business. I knew how proud he was of his boys just by the way he talked about them. My heart is aching for Amy and the boys. May God encircle you in His arms during this time. Sending you lots of love...

Jason will be missed so much, his absence will leave a huge hole in my heart. I will miss his texts of funny pictures and youtube videos, his visits to drop off pictures that would turn into long conversations and hearing my clients rave about how helpful and kind he was. I will think of him everyday as I look around my house at the countless pictures he printed for me. He was such a kind hearted person and I feel lucky to have known him. My heart goes out to Amy, his boys and his family and I will pray for your comfort during this difficult time. I'm so sorry.

I knew Jason through my dealing with him doing canvases for my family. I will always think of him when I look at them in my home. I have the kindest of thing to say about Jason and was always impressed with his kindness and smile when he helped me. I also know his sister, Jen, and know what an amazing family he has. He will be greatly missed and was deeply loved.

Like so many others posting here, I did not know Jason or his family, but I was touched by the description of the life he led, especially in his relationship with his sons. Sounds like he knew what eternity is made of and made it a point to create a heaven on earth with his forever family. May God sustain you through His Spirit during this time of temporary separation until you are united once more in a more perfect place.

The most beautiful obituary I have ever read. Your family received more love from this young man in a few short years than many of us receive from all we know in a lifetime. You are so blessed for that, and his love will be with you always. I pray for you in this time of sorrow. -M.C., Salt Lake City

To the Crowther Family...We never had the pleasure of meeting the Spouses of the Crowther children, but our hearts go out to Amy & the boys. We watched all those girls & Jason grow up & walk past our house everyday, because we are The Olsens that lived on Cottonwood Lane where they all grew up. We've lost touch with Dear Cathy after the death of Bruce. They were special people in our lives & Cathy was such an inspiration to me, as a Neighbor, Friend, Mother & Sister in our LDS Ward. I remember how excited they were when Jason was born, & now we are so sorry for his loss & this family's grief, but grateful they know that Bruce & their lst grandchild is waiting to re-unite in a better place. Our Love to all of you!

Wow! Jeff, you must read this. I didn't know the man, but after reading it I felt his presence; and I thought: If I could live my 82 years of life over again I would want to possess the same attributes--be the same kind of person he was.
Jeff, my precious Son, you have been the same kind of man as Jason. I know that I don't tell you and MJ how proud I am of both you. You have raised a great family and dedicated them to the Lord… all have served honorable missions, and are now starting to bring forth “Little Sweeties.” Anyway, I love all of you. You know, we joke about becoming rich again; I am already rich with children and offspring like you and MJ.

I never knew your family, but I did meet Jason once at iprint canvas when I got a free print from him. He was so friendly and from reading all these nice comments it sounds like he was an amazing guy. I'm so so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain. But how comforting it is to know that families are forever! This sweet sweet obituary has made me realize how fragile life is and to not take precious day-to-day moments for granted. May you and your boys find some peace during this tough time.

To all of the Crowther Family, We were deeply saddened to hear of Jason's passing. He has touched so many lives for good. We remember fondly our trip to Nauvoo and taking him to dinner after his shift work on the temple and then sharing the wonderful cornerstone ceremony with him and our son Jon. He loved that job. I am especially grateful for his willingness and sacrifice to be away from his family to help build such a beautiful edifice to the Lord. Thank you for sharing him with us it was one of the greatest opportunities we had. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love to you all.

I am so incredibly sadden by the tragic loss of this amazing man. As a photographer, I knew Jason through his iprintcanvas business. He did such wonderful work for myself and for so many of my clients. He was always kind, friendly, helpful, talented and generous. The photography community will never be the same without him. My heart breaks for his three young sons, and his wife he left behind, as well as his mom, sisters, and friends who I know loved and cared for him very much. He was loved by many. We are now sending that love to his dear family. I hope they can feel the love and prayers that surround them, even from people they've never met. Jason and his family will forever be in my thoughts and my prayers. May you all find some comfort and peace. Much love, Sheri Beavers of Sweet Pea Photos
