JoAnn was a remarkable lady, one who was an example of kindness, caring and integrity. It was easy to know that she was sincere in her work and care for those she served. We need more JoAnn Autrys in this world. Thank you, JoAnn for your example.

JoAnn Autry,
The way she conducted her life was a true example of Charity, the pure love of Christ. She dealt with the sometimes cruel adversity in her life with faith and dignity, in fact it seemed to empower her with an increased capacity to love and strengthen others. What a great example to all of us! I am blessed to have known the Autry family since I was just a boy in Southern California and Brock was just a baby. Leroy was my Webelos leader. JoAnn was one of my mother's best friends and was there to support her with her battle with cancer several years ago. My sincere condolences go out the family... your mother taught you well.

Sweet JoAnn! We sang those beautiful songs for the ward Christmas sacrament meeting together. We smiled at each other at the early morning endowment sessions. When you gave your testimony-filled lessons in Relief Society, my heart matched yours in your conviction of Jesus Christ and his redemption and atonement. And more importantly, you were the first woman I met and knew personally who shared yourself and your love for our Savior with such intimacy with me. What can I say? Your love for Him drew me closer to you, even closer than you probably realized. Thank you! I pray God will bless your loved ones who grieve your passing.

I remember the first time I met JoAnn. She was so friendly and outgoing. You could sense right away that she had a very wonderful and warm spirit. I am so grateful that our paths crossed in this life. I loved learning from her unbelievable example, and from her inspiring Relief Society lessons. JoAnn had a way of making you feel so special and loved. Believing as we do, I can only feel such happiness for her, knowing she passed her Earth Life test with flying colors and has now returned Home. I will always consider her one of the most inspirational people I have known.

Your mother was a dear friend when my family lived in the 25th Ward, back in the 70's. She was an amazing woman and had such a zest for life! I admired her so much. I'm sure there's a sweet reunion on the other side. I loved your dear mother, and will miss her. May the Lord hold you all close and help you through this time. With sympathy and love, Jeri Lott

To the Autry family,
I am so saddened by the passing of your Mother. I know you all held special bonds with her, especially with what you've all been through in life. She told me over the holidays she wanted as many days as possible to be with you (knowing that the end was coming), but now she is with Leroy and Trisha. I'm sure the reunion was beautiful, and I know Mom was there to greet her, too. Now, she is watching over all of you from above.
With all the wonderful work she did in this life, you know she has a great calling now...
What a wonderful example she was to those who knew her. She kept her chin up through everything, and continually gave to others. I often told her how I admired her, wondering how she's gotten through her trials in life, etc. Her reply, always, was the Gospel.
Be there for each other as you grieve your loss, and cherish the memories you hold. Love you all, Pamela Johnson

I am so sorry for your loss of JoAnn. What a wonderful woman! She was and is such a great example to me. I have enjoyed being her neighbor and friend for these past three years. I am happy for her that she is being reunited with her family, especially her husband and daughter after all these years. How happy she must be. I am going to miss her and miss chatting with her in our yards. I love her, what an inspiration to all of us. Sandy Barber
