Maxine Benedict Obituary

1932 ~ 2017
Maxine K Benedict, age 85, died peacefully August 2, 2017 surrounded by her family. Maxine was born February 12, 1932 in Tridell, Utah. She was the daughter of Joseph Levi and Blanche Cook Kitchen. She married James Montgomery, they were later divorced. She married Alfred Defa, he passed away in 1984. She married Fabian Benedict, he passed away in 1988.
She was an amazing cook and only knew how to feed a crowd. Everything that came out of her kitchen was special and delicious. Her honey cookie recipe has been handed down and cherished by all. If you ever had a bowl of germade with her amazing homemade bread you are truely one of the lucky ones.
She is survived by six children, Kent (Linda) Montgomery, Diane (David) Morton, Steven (Mary) Montgomery, Russ Montgomery, JoAnn (Bryan) White, Clay Montgomery; siblings; Melvin (Verda) Kitchen, Ralph (Reba) Kitchen, LeaMae (Enes) Hatch, Weldon (Donna) Kitchen, 27 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her siblings; Lazelle Glines, Frances Bartlett, Belva Chamberlain, Virginia Goodrich, John Kitchen, Norman Kitchen, her great grandson Tyler Keiver, and her long time furry companion Brandy.
The family would like to thank Heidi with Hearts for Hospice.
