Stephani Froisland Obituary

Stephani Peterson Froisland 1941 ~ 2008 In the early morning hours of May 3, 2008, Stephani Peterson Froisland peacefully slipped away to her ancestral home.Born to Willie and Don Peterson on October 14, 1941, she later married Dallas R. Froisland on July 15, 1965. She was able to convince him that he got the better deal. And he soon found it to be true. She loved her children, Brook, Eric, Brandon, Maaika and sons-in-law, Kirk and Thad. She adored her seven grandchildren, Cade, Malone, Trey, Tarra, Adria, McCall and Davin. She served for several years with the Festival of Trees and The Primary Children's Telethon. She also founded a very successful preschool and child development center. There will be an Open House at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th for friends and family at the Froisland residence, 9825 S. 1300 E., attached to the south end of KIDS Etc. preschool. She loved us, we loved her and we were blessed. Please give to the Huntsman Cancer Institution and /or Primary Children's.

Our family was so lucky to find KIDS Etc Preschool and be able to have Miss Stephani be a part of our lives for some wonderful years. My children and I have found friendships that I am sure will last for years to come. Stephani, I will miss the "talks" we have shared and being able to ask your opinion of countless questions regarding not only my children but me as well. We all love you! May you rest in peace.
With Love,
The Norris Family

Brandon, I don't know if you remember me from high school or not, but I was reading the obituaries recently and saw a woman that I suspect was your mother. If so, I just wanted to write to tell you how sorry I was for your loss and to let you know that I was thinking of you and praying for you and your family. We were fairly good friends in high school, and so when I saw the obituary I was prompted to write. Hope you are doing well and that you get this. Sincerely, Steven Fehr

Miss Brook, Miss Mai & the Kids Etc. Family,

We were shocked and heart broken to hear of the passing of Miss Stephanie. She was truly a wonderful mother, grandmother, teacher and friend! Our lovely daughter Sierra is who she is today in large part because of the care and nurturing of Miss Stephanie and we will never forget her. She had a special place in her heart for little girls and used dance class at Kid Etc. to help them build confidence.
Brook and Mai, your mother was one in a million and our prayers are with you. Words really can’t express how much we appreciated your mother and all she did for our family.
She will be missed, by us and countless others.

Love The DeHarts

Dear Dallas and children,
We were saddened to learn of the passing of Stephani in such an untimely death. We remember the great times we had in the Monument Park 6th Ward and all the dinners and evenings we enjoyed together. She was always a fun person; vivacious, kind, thoughtful, and smart. What a legacy she has left with the creation of the pre-school. Some of us dream of doing things but she acted and did it. Dallas, you and Stephani were a great support when we lost our little daughter many years ago. I believe they are enjoying memories together in Heaven. May Heavenly Father bless you with his understanding, love, and tender mercy at this difficult time. Our love, Frank & Celia Cutler

Dear Kids Etc Family,
To those who knew Stephani and loved her dearly. I know I did. Going to Kids Etc. for Six years I got to know and love everyone there. Mrs. Stephani was always there, whether it was helping out at dance recitals or just being there for all of us. The memories I have of her and Kids Etc. will always be dear and close to my heart. I give my greatest sympathies to the family members and all that knew one of the greatest ladies of our time. Rest in Peace you will be missed, but never forgotten.

Each afternoon, on little chairs we sat listening to her life stories, some of her stories made us think, some made us laugh, and some made us cry. Vibrant stories of compassion, love, and hope. Each story was carefully written from experience and she unselfishly shared them with us... we hung on every word. My heart aches for the stories left untold, stories about Courage, strength, determination and the will to live. I will never forget an afternoon, the lessons learned or the friendship that was created on those little chairs.

I am honored to have know Stephani and to have had the privilege of being in her company for the last 3 years. She was an incredible person who did so many wonderful things for so many people, most of which where children. My deepest sympathy goes to her family for their loss. To her grandchildren- I see incredible things in each of you and I can't wait for you to share them with the world, Gram will be so proud.

Dal and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I am sorry I did not get to get together with you, Dal and Steph. I am glad that we did touch base last year-even if it was on the telephone. We had such great times together when we were first married. Remember the picnics at Fairmont Park, the basketball games, and church outings. Steph and I had such fun times together with our first babies. We lived across the way on McClelland Street in Sugarhouse. She was truly a great lady. I also worked with Steph with the Festival of Trees and we shared lots of fun recipies and growing up stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Froislands: I was truly saddened when my parents told me Stephani had passed away! My two sisters and I used to babysit you kids when you lived on Garfield and we loved your mom! She was so very bubbly and always was interested in what we were doing! Your mom taught piano to my sister's kids and I loved visiting with your mom after the recital! I have fond memories of your mom. My older sister passed away eight years ago and know that she was there to greet your mom! We all loved your mom and your family! We pray that you might find comfort in your own memories of your mom and cherish these memories as you carry on as she would want you to!

My family is indebted to Miss Stephani for all she has done for my children, Caitlin, Brynn, and Morgan. She, with the help of her loving staff, make it easy to drop the kids off at pre-school each day. The kids don't like to leave at the end of the day, and that is a tribute to all the love that Miss Stephani had for the children. She will be missed deeply by our family.
