Suchapan Saunders Obituary
"Oy"
Our loving wife and devoted mother passed away while giving life to her son on September 1, 2011. Oy was born in Thailand on March 29, 1980 to Nopachai and Aumporn Pongopas. She graduated from the University of Utah. Suchapan was employed by ARUP where she met Calvin Saunders. They were married June 17, 2007 and began their life together. She will be remembered as a caring, beautiful and forthright woman who was totally devoted to her family. She is survived by the love of her life, Calvin; toddling daughter McKinley Grace; newborn son Jayden Christopher; her parents; her brother; American parents John and Nit Limley; and a host of in-laws, extended family members and friends.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Donations for her children McKinley and Jayden may be made at any Key Bank location. Memorial tribute video forthcoming at www.starksfuneral.com

Though I only had the chance to speak with Oy briefly on a few occasions, Mckinley has been a pure delight for my son, Keagan, and I since the day he started sharing a class with her at daycare. Mckinley's excitement to see Keagan when i drop him off in the mornings has always made my day. Such a gorgeous little girl, a true reflection of her mommy.
Mckinley, may your mommy's spirit live on in you and bring your daddy strength to carry on.

Your passing is so wrong. I can't help but feel cheated for you, for Calvin, for your babies, and for all of us that will miss you so much.

Dear Oy, We have been friends and coworkers for so long. Words can't express how much you will be missed; how much I will miss you. I admired your common sense, your humor, your warmth and enthusiasm, your cooking, the nurturing you gave to your family. I admired your strength whenever life threw you a curve ball. I've been thinking about your wedding pictures; how beautiful and happy you were. Calvin- I wish you strength and peace in knowing you helped make Oy's dreams come true, if only for a short time.

I read Suchapan's obituary and my heart just broke- I had pre eclampsia/HELLP syndrome with both the children I have now- It was so life threatening and when I see stuff like this (I have no idea) if it's the same situation, but when I see this my heart breaks ever so more- what a beautiful girl and my heart is with her husband and her children as well as her Family. Please know your Family are in my thoughts and prayers- I am truly sorry.

I am saddened by your loss and wish your family comfort. Oy was my student helper in the laboratory when she was studying at the U. She was so pleasant to work with and always helpful and friendly. She used to bring me samples of Thai food, some of which was very hot, but always good tasting. Cherish your children and the special time you had together as a family.

I will miss Oy sooo much. She was such a great friend to all! We shared a common theme in life with little babies running around causing us to laugh and lose sleep. Walking into work and having her there always made me smile, made the day a little easier, made the day better. It is a true loss for all of us, and I am so sad. Hearts and prayers going out to Calvin, McKinley, and little Jayden.
