I add my sincere condolences to the Findlay family for their loss Mr. Findlay was one of a kind and a favorite teacher of mine at East. He was a first rate teacher who cared for his students both in and outside of class, showing me many kindnesses over the years. I'll never forget him. Resquiat in pace, Mr. F. Rebecca (Pitts) Hawkins

May I offer my deepest sympathies to the Findlay family and express my profound sadness at the news of Mr. Findlay's passing. He was far and away my favorite teacher at East High. He had the rarest of gifts as a teacher: a profound knowledge and love of his field combined with a genuine caring and concern for each of his students. Plus he measured all that with one of the greatest wits I have ever encountered. I honestly don't know if I ever met a more effective educator from that first semester of Biology sophomore year and I say that as someone who has been through three high schools and two universities, one of which was Harvard. Mr Findlay wrote the teacher recommendation for my application there, now some 44 years ago. I must be one of thousands of pupils whose life he touched and whose brain he bettered. It was an honor and a joy to have place in his classroom.

Today I am grieved by the passing of my GREAT FRIEND Lynn.
We spent many hours together in the Jordan River Temple.
He is a spiritual giant and I will always remember him with a
great deal of respect and dignity. It isn't fair that he leaves before me, especially because I am older than he.
I wish Janette well.
Sincerely,
Bro. Dick Law
