CHIMBOLE LELIA

Chimbole, Lelia, lovingly known as Vicki to her family and friends. Vicki was born July 2, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was adopted at birth by Ray and Grace Roberson and spent her youth in Greenwood, Mississippi. She moved to the Antelope Valley in 1968 to join her father in the family real estate business, Roberson Realty, located in Pearblossom where she was a broker for the last 40 years. Vicki met and later married Larry Chimbole while he was the City of Palmdale's first Mayor. Larry often attributes his election to the State Assembly to his wife's sparkling personality, innate kindness, and goodwill to everyone she met. She was a true Southern lady. She is survived by her husband, Larry Chimbole, her two daughters, Wynne Robertson and Susan Irving, step-son, Steven Chimbole, grandchildren, Reana Thierman, Tina Mariani, Nicole Mercy, and Michael Distefano, great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Gracie Thierman, Temple Mariani, and many nieces and nephews. Vicki will be greatly missed. Her kindhearted spirit and sweet nature inspired and influenced everyone who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wed.
