I worked with Helen and travelled throughout the county in the Bookmobile back in the 80's. What an adventure we had and how blessed I was to know her. I know she is now reading to the angels in heaven. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family.

Helen came to our home on Nov. 15 to give communion to my husband Don a few days before his back surgery. She brought communion several times during the last two years. She always spent time with us chit chatting about our families and various memories. On this last visit she also spoke with our 7 year old grandchild Kailey about the joy of reading and loving Jesus. Helen is a special treasure we were allowed to enjoy for a time here on earth.

Mrs. Riley instilled the love of reading by helping us select books that interested each of us during the hot summer months in Barstow's local library. I am grateful to my parents for making such an important connection to Mrs. Riley and her library. God bless Mrs. Riley and her family. Mary Bilsborough

I worked with Mrs Riley on the Book Mobile in the early 70's. I will never forget in like in 1995 we had a haunted yard at our house for Halloween to raise funds for library, and we had a coffin in which Helen was laying on and every time people would pass she would sit up, scream an scare the heck out of people. May She Rest in Peace.
