Dennis A. "Denny" Dhabolt, 62, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Spencer, IA, Dennis owned Genesis Promotion in Fort Wayne for 12 years and was a Project Coordinator for Community Safety Net of Winnepeg, Canada for 9 years. In honor of Denny's lifelong passion for the Chicago Cubs, his visitation and funeral service times are reflective of their play in the NLCS. Surviving are his wife, Ivorienne A. "Vori" Dhabolt of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Don C. (Christine) Dhabolt of Hartford, WI; brother, Ross K. (Diana) Dhabolt of Indianola, IA; step-brother, David P. Shelledy of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Angela D. (Jeffrey) Ockerman of Adel, IA; grandchildren, McKenzie Long of Ames, IA; David Long of Grimes, IA; Stephanie (Kristopher) Schroeder of Adel, IA; Austin Ockerman of Adel, IA; uncle, Crist (Jeannie) Green of Sun City, AZ; mother-in-law, Marie W. Benedict Baker of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 nephews and 6 nieces. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Lyle A. Dhabolt, mother, Judith L. "Judy" Dhabolt Shelledy, step-father, John G. "Jack" Shelledy, and uncle, Kenton Green. Service is 1:20 pm EST, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.

Denny and Vori were like second parents to me in my teenage years! They were my dads very best friends!!! Denny always had a smile on his face and was always happy!!! I know he loved his friends and family so much!!! Dad now has his buddy to party in heaven with!!!❤
