Frances Wiseman Obituary
Granger
Frances Ann Wiseman, 85, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel.
Frances was born on February 9, 1928, in Des Moines, IA, to William and Myrtle (Nicola) Seymour. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Drake University. She married C. Calvin Wiseman on September 11, 1954 and they made their home in Des Moines, later moving to Granger. Frances spent many years teaching decorative painting. She was an active quilter and a member of the Des Moines Area Quilters Guild.
Frances will be missed by her husband of 58 years, C. Calvin Wiseman; daughter, Jill (Jim) Reber of Granger; and sons, Mark Wiseman of Des Moines and Tom Wiseman of CO; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Seymour.

Words cannot express how sad I was to learn of Fran's passing. She was my 'second' mom growing up and I will always remember her with much fondness. Her smile, her laugh. The countless hours I spent in her home making cookies and rice krispie treats with Jill.. Her dedication as our Girl Scout troop leader.. My heart goes out to Cal, Jill, Mark, Tom and the rest of the family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
