Eloise Chambers Obituary

Eloise Katherine Franzen Chambers, 89, died from complications of Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at a skilled nursing center in Nashville, Tenn. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, Fort Worth. Memorials: The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in Eloise's name be made to Arlington Heights United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Eloise was born on Sept. 3, 1927, in Hutto, Texas, to Signe and Andrew Franzen; their seventh child of ten. After growing up on a farm she met and married Bobby Lynn Chambers while working with his aunt at a hair salon in Taylor, Texas and they then moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Eloise lived in Fort Worth for close to sixty years with the exception of a three-year sojourn in Brussels, Belgium and her final two years in Nashville. Before having children, she worked at Convair and then in the Fort Worth Independent School District for over 20 years. She was a member of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church for all of her adult life. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Signe Franzen; her husband, Bobby Chambers; brothers, Walden Franzen and Anton Franzen; sisters, Margaret Peterson, Evelyn Clary; Dorothy Thaler, Doris Smith, and Bert Bradley. Survivors: Children, John Chambers and wife, Lori; Mike Chambers and wife, Connie, and Kelly Chambers and husband, Ed Sherwood; brother, Eric Franzen and wife, Sandy; sister, Vera Law; grandchildren, Ashley Chambers Pittman and husband, Austin; Drew Chambers and wife, Betsy; Julie Feris and partner, Adam Bowie; Shelbie Feris; Ty Chambers; Michael Alane Cassle and husband, Clay; Lynn Sherwood; Nick Sherwood; and Lee Sherwood; great-grandchildren, Garrett Langford, Greenleigh Pittman, Arabella Bowie and Eloise Elizabeth Chambers; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Eloise and I worked together at Monnig Middle School . Those were fun years .I was a new teacher ,and I remember how helpful and kind she was to me.Eloise had an infectios smile and laugh.I am so sorry for your loss.My prayers are with you and your Family.
