Albert Gregor Obituary

Albert Gregor, 73, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. Service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Gregor was born Aug. 11, 1937, in the Ukraine. He served in the United States Marine Corps Intelligence from 1962 to 1968. He graduated from the USC School of Architecture in 1962 and had a distinguished career for nearly 50 years. He was the principle design architect for Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in addition to many other award-winning projects. He was responsible for many Tarrant County building projects, such as the Tarrant County Jail, Broadway Plaza, the State Court of Appeals and John Peter Smith Hospital additions. He later became consultant to the county in all building projects. Survivors: Wife, Nelda Rayburn Gregor; son, Albert James Gregor; daughter, Gigi Green and husband, Collin; brother, Eduard Gregor; grandson, Walon Green; and nephew, Ed Gregor.
