Sandy, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I will never forget meeting him the first time that I came to Casstevens. He was at that desk at the back of the store. What a sweet man he was, but he got things done when he needed to. A true BBQ legend is now in Heaven.

I only knew "Mr. Cass" for a short time but he was the type of man who quickly accepted you as an "old friend". I certainly had the highest level of respect and admiration for him and know that everyone who knew him will miss him so much. You are in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything you need, you know we are right up the road! God bless!

I've never known a greater, wiser, sharper business man. He was such an inspiration & mentor to me during high school & college. The experience I gained working for Cass can never be repaid.

Sarah and family, So sorry to hear of the passing of Harold Dan, my Dad, Truett's last living first cousin. He and Daddy were one of the last of that generation. I always enjoyed talking with him when we came to visit he and Sarah at their home. He was a special man, and we will miss him.

Cass was one of the most friendly , generous person I ever had the pleasure of knowing. When I moved to Lillian some 30 years ago and first met him at the store he never forgot my name or where I lived. Always had a good story to tell , if he wasn't busy with his store and his "girls"

Sarah and Family: I'm so sorry for your loss, Cass was a very good man and was willing to help anyone. He even took a chance on me being the oldest of his store clerks, when he hired me, and was surprised I really could carry my share!! Y'all will be in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
