Tyler Morse Obituary

Tyler Morse, 27, of Flower Mound passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, following a car accident. Memorial service: A memorial celebration of Tyler's life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lewisville Church of Christ, with Weylan Deaver officiating. Memorials: Contributions may be made in Tyler's memory to the mission efforts of Sherman Drive Church of Christ or Lewisville Church of Christ. No obituary can do justice to Tyler, to a life so short but richly lived, to a heart so tender and kind. Tyler was born Feb. 21, 1986, in Bedford to Randy and Pam Morse, and older brother, Jacob. He was a faithful Christian man, wholly devoted to God, his family and his friends. Tyler graduated from Lake Dallas High School in 2004 and attended the University of North Texas, where he played trumpet and was heavily involved in the jazz program. He was a truly gifted musician and leaves his mark on many people through his musical performance and mentorship. He continued to play trumpet in the jazz band at Harding University, where he graduated in 2010 with a bachelor of business administration, focused on professional sales. It was there that he met the love of his life, Melissa Ellen Combs. They were married May 22, 2010, shortly after graduating. His compassionate heart led him to the home healthcare industry, where he worked in sales and marketing. To call Tyler an avid outdoorsman would be an understatement. He loved to hunt and fish, and was an expert marksman and angler. Tyler had a passion for sharing his knowledge and experiences with others. Most importantly, Tyler loved God. He was very involved with the church his whole life, taught Bible classes, led singing, and participated in mission work with his wife, Melissa. His generous heart lives on; he continues to serve and bless others through his decision to be an organ and tissue donor. Survivors: His wife, Melissa Morse of Flower Mound; parents, Randy and Pam Morse of Corinth; brother, Jacob Morse, sister-in-law, Jennifer, and nephew, Finley, of Dallas; grandparents, Bill and Jo Ann Sharbine of Euless, and Don and Charlotte Morse of Kingsland; parents-in-law, Curtis and Denise Combs of Mesquite; brother-in-law, Jeff Combs of Rowlett; and many other relatives and friends.

Tyler's wife is my wife's first cousin. He and I always enjoyed each other's company and laughed a lot together. I always felt like we would have a great relationship as we continued to get to know each other. His tragedy has effected me deeply. He really was a great guy. He is missed.

Tim and I just heard about this tragedy from Tyler's Dad... we own Joshua Deer Processing, and I remember these faces and especially the names, since I do the bookwork...but, Tim told me that every time Tyler and his Dad came into the shop - they lifted him up! Such wonderful people... we are devastated for the family, and we are keeping you all in our prayers. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
