One of the nicest people I have ever met. Dave was my Instrument Flight Instructor at Grosse Ile, michigan municipal Airport. We enjoyed many flights together. Outstanding instructor.

David was such a positive and kind person. I will always remember of one of his catch phrases, "It's a beauty". It was a pleasure to spend some time with him at our 30th YHS class reunion. Learned of his passing at the 40th reunion. Truly a great guy - one of the best of us. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Lori,
Dave was a mentor to me early in my career. He took a chance on me and hired me into the airline, AIA, right out of college. I learned a tremendous amount from Dave and I owe him a great deal. Now I have my own family and a career in HR. Because of Dave years ago, his teaching and his mentoring, I have a career to learn and grow in and one to support my family. I know Dave has touched many lives and will be missed. I'm sorry for your loss and my hear and prayers go out to you and the family.

Lori,
I did not know Dave well but our paths had a wonderful habit of crossing over the years. We went to high school together, both graduated from EMU in 1975, and then to my surprise he appeared at the APA HDQ. What a bright face and wonderful attitude he had. Once shared a seat next to his mother going from DFW to DTW and it was the same pleasurable experience. Everyone who grew up around us remembers fondly his family's airplanes buzzing around when we were growing up. His love of aviation was contagious. His obit was well written. He will be missed. God Speed Dave and my best to you and yours. Our lives are richer for having had Dave in them.

While our thoughts and prayers are with David's family and friends, his professional legacy would be remiss by not recognizing his many valued contributions to the Allied Pilots Association that will never be forgotten. Our utmost gratitude for his years of dedicated service to our organization. Captain Lloyd Hill, former president, Allied Pilots Association

It was my privilege to know David as a doula volunteer at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Despite his illness, he was one of the sweetest men I've ever known. May his soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed rest in peace eternal and may light perpetual shine upon him.
