I was so sorry to hear of Deans passing. He was a great banker and mentor. I came to Continental National Bank as a credit analyst in 1983 upon graduation from Texas A&M with my Masters degree in Finance. Occasionately I was tasked with doing analysis for Dean, and ultimately ended up working with him when I was in the Correspondent Bank depatment.
Dean was a great banker and such a character who appeared to live life to the fullest! He had so much energy....definitely a type A personality.
I have great memories of my years at Continental and remember Dean fondly. He personified the banking executive in the glory days of banking.
I have continued in banking, both practicing and teaching others the skills that I learned in my years at Continental.
Although I have not seen Dean in 30 years, he has remained a part of my Continental experience that helped mold me into the banker I became. I am truly sorry to hear that he is gone.
