Aunt Iva was my great Aunt. My grandfather was Charles W.Thomson & she was his sister. My sister Skye Thomson & I have known her our whole lives. I tried to call her today to take her Thanksgiving Dinner . I then discovered her # was disconnected. So before the kids & I drove to her house I had that feeling to Google her name considering her age. That's when I discovered she had passed & I had missed her funeral as well .. We didn't get to say goodbye!! I know she was an extraordinary woman & lived an Amazing life . I've always looked up to her growing up!
I admired her for all she did in her wonderful life. She was a very thoughtful & independent lady.. I always said " I hope I look like & get around like aunt Iva when I get her age"... She was 102 yrs old & looked better than most 70 yr olds both physically & mentally. She will be Greatly missed !!

My mother was Thurman's sister so I had know Iva all my life. She and Thurman
were wonderful people who lived their lives in a Christian manner. I did not see
her often since I lived out of state, but I will miss her as I missed Uncle Thurman.
Their lives made a difference to many people. That is a wonderful way to live your life. Sandra Zettl and Tony Zettl

I called and spoke to Iva in Sep. She was a member of NARFE She had just moved to a retirement home and told me her nephew from Ca helped her move. She had no complaints. In previous years, she told me she was a volunteer at Pantego Bible Church. She apparently lived her life to the fullest. What a legacy she leaves to all who knew her! My privilegeto have spoken to her!

Many fond memories of Iva and Thurmond as they were so important to me in my teen years. God knows the blessings they were to the youth of Pantego Bible Church through the years.
