Mrs. William's Family -

I feel so blessed that I had Mrs. Williams as a teacher. She has inspired me with her strength and kind heart. I know that all of her students miss her and will always remember her, including myself. She made a difference in so many lives through her cancer support and being a passionate and caring teacher. She gave us pins to represent colon cancer awareness and everytime I see one pinned on someones backpack, I cant help but smile and remember my favorite teacher. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

I did not know Kelly, but I am a fellow Baylor grad ('03) and saw her story in an e-mail today. It hit very close to home as my sister was diagnosed with Stage IV CC at age 26 and passed last November at age 29. I had no idea there were organizations out there like what she started. It is encouraging to see awareness growing. Most importantly though you are in my prayers. Cling to prayers and they will see you through the emotional road ahead.

My deepest sympathies to the family. She has made a tremendous life changing impact on my life, and I will take her advice. She was smiling and always looking toward a positive future, although I only knew her a short time during treatments at Dr. Jordan's, I will miss her deeply. She gave us so much.

I sat next to Kelly and Jason many times at Dr Jordans office. She never looked sad and discouraged to me..always the busy bee doing something to keep herself occupied during the long chemo procedures. I was not the cancer patient but my husband was, Kelly always had encouraging words for us even though things were not going great for us. My husband died in December from his cancer and she was one of the first to give me comfort in my sadness...I am sure they will get to see each other in Heaven. I will never forget her kindness towards us.

A truly inspirational woman that left a lasting impact on every single person she came in contact with. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work as her principal for the past 6 months and will miss her presence at CHS greatly.

I met Kelly just a few weeks ago while waiting for radiation treatments. She was a splash of sunshine! We realized that we worked for the same district and knew some of the same people. In that breif time she displayed her strong, joyful spirit and love for her students.
The last time that I saw her I didn't say anything because she was resting, on what I assume was Jason's shoulder. It was evident that she fought hard until she entered into God's presence.
Know that you are in my prayers and may God envelop you in His loving, comforting arms.

I knew Kelly from The Colon Club. She was always so upbeat and positive. It breaks my heart - all of our hearts, to lose her. Please know how much we cared about her and sympathize with her family. She will be missed terribly.

Jason and Kelly's Family - Our thoughts are with you in your time of grief. Kelly was a beautiful person and we are so thankful to have had the privilege of knowing her for even a short time. We will always remember her smile. We are thankful she is at rest, but the world is a little darker now without her in it.

I sat next to Kelly on May 14th at Dr Jordans. We soon realized we were close in age and had the same cancer.I had surgery May 18th and Kelly encouraged me and made me feel better about my upcoming battle. Thank you Kelly for the websites for knowledge on colonclub.com and undy5000, for which my walk this year will be in remembrance of you. Even though I only knew you for an hour, you made a difference in my life.

I will miss sitting with Kelly in church. Her heart was full of love and her kindness was sincere. She always made me laugh. I know she is now with our Savior and that is a comfort to our family and I hope to your family too.

I too had the honor of working with Kelly the last 2 1/2 years at CHS. Through her long battle with cancer, she was always positive. She is the bravest person I ever met. But probably the most inspirational was her dedication to and concern for her students---all the way till the end. I hope it is of some comfort to her family that she touched so many young lives in such a positive way. My prayers are with you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly 3 years ago through Jason. Anyone could see the way they both loved each other and what a joy she was for Jason. She had a fun loving spirit. Jason my prayers are with you, also with yours and Kelly's family.

May God bless you and give you comfort in your loss of Kelly. She was the bravest, strongest, and most positive spirit throughout her long battle with cancer. She always had a smile and an optomistic outlook, truly an example for all of us. Teresa Riggs, CHS Nurse

My husband (Jer) is being treated for cancer with Dr. Jordan. Jer and I had several conversations with Kelly. We met her husband (Jason) who came many of times to be by Kelly's side. I enjoyed talking with Kelly about her students who she loved. Jer and I will miss talking and laughing with her.

I had the honor of working with Kelly while serving as an interim principal as Carroll High School. Kelly was always an inspiration to me. Her strength and her faith was amazing. I don't recall even one day that she was not positive and hopeful. She made the most out of every day, even when she did not feel like it. I count it a blessing to have known Kelly for four short months. She left her mark on my life and I will always be grateful for her sweet spirit that filled the halls of Carroll High School. My prayers are with her family, friends...and her family at CHS.
