Carlene pierced my ears. Every time I put my earrings on I think of her. She was my sister-in-law from 1965-1973. She was both fierce and loving.

I first met Darlene on the CSN. Not only was she knowledgeable, but comforting and always full of humor.I miss her light.

My condolences to Carlene's family and friends. I knew her when we were very young and she was married to my cousin, Jimmy.

Carlene was the calmest and wisest soul I found on the CSN Ovarian cancer forum. She will be missed by many. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

From 1965 until 1973 Carlene and I were sisters-in-law. She was bright, articulate, practical, strong, and an advocate for the underdog. One of her special spiritual gifts was that of Hospitality. Her home was always welcoming, and there was always something delicious on the stove or in the oven. I was blessed to reconnect with her on Facebook a couple of years ago. My heart goes out to her family.
