I haven't seen you in years but thinking back to good ol' Golden Gate days. I remember your dad as quite a character, always friendly and funny. I know you will both miss him so much. You are in my prayers during this loss.

Bill, I only knew you for a few months. In that short time, I saw you were both a man of character and a bit of a character! You are truly missed!

Dearest Bill, how I shall miss your smiling face, your sense of humor and your love of life. Thank-you for making everyday brighter. I shall treasure the happy memories of you always, you made my days at "Holiday Lane" happy and I am a better caregiver for knowing you and the wonderful uncomplaining gentleman that you were. God Bless You and your family...

We moved to east Texas several years ago, but I do remember seeing your Dad's
pleasant face in the choir singing his heart out each & every Sunday. After reading some of the tributes to him, I believe your Dad must have been a man who was loved by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Gary, Ricky and family,
Please accept my sympathy in the loss of your Dad. I always enjoyed seeing him in the choir and of course, Mike was in the Scout troop. My prayers are being lifted up to the Lord in your behalf.

My first encounter with Bill was when he called to invite me to a choir party. I was new at Sagamore Hill and he called inviting me to this party the choir was having. Well when I got there it was to stuff hundreds of envelopes with letters, he really got one over on me. We laughed and laughed about that, I was always very cautious of any parties he invited me to after that. He was a great guy and a good friend. I'm sure he is in Heaven making everyone laugh. My condolences to your family.

Bill was such a nice man. When we first joined Sagamore Hill in December of 1968, Bill was one of the first to make us feel welcome. He was a fun person to know.

Bill Whitlock was my friend.
I always enjoyed sitting next to him in choir at Sagamore Hill Baptist. For many years he enjoyed being a part of the "Glory", the music/drama, Easter presentation at Sagamore Hill.
I don't think Bill ever met a stranger and he always enjoyed making folks laugh.
Like many 'older' people, Bill's talents and contributions to life, were not fully known or recognized my many folks.
It is good, that we can take comfort in knowing that Bill is in the presence of Jesus and free from earthly struggles. I will miss my friend but am happy for him. He ran the race well.
Praying for Gary and Rick, as you adjust to the loss of your father.
