My God it's been 7 years?! Just having been Tommy's work associate & friend for so many years & countless hours working together, provides me the memories that causes me to smile; it's the gift that keeps on giving. My best to the Dingman clan: Donna, Jason, Kristin. I am one of many that thought & still thinks the world of Thomas Alan Dingman badge#165.....Alex Ramsey badge#427.

Just saw that Tommy has gone to Heaven. Tommy made church youth group journeys to Glorieta so much fun! I will always remember the "hoot-nannies" he would lead every night. As a police officer. He once caught me and a friend in Randol Mill Park after hours. When he saw it was me, he told my date good luck, and went on his way. I will always remember him for his kind and generous heart.

Tommy "Buffalo Breath" Dingman, (as several of us former Motorcycle Officers endearingly called him way back when), was a model Officer, a true gentleman/family man, gentle giant, class act, with an absolutely wonderful sense of humor. I tried my hardest to make him laugh just to hear hear his hearty howls fill the hallways of the old police station @ 717 W.Main St. We spent countless hours working together both on-duty @ also off-duty @ the Old Ranger Stadium & Forum 303 Mall. It was sheer joy being in his company, he was a true friend, & a truly decent man. He wore badge #165, & he'll be missed by all that ever came to know him. Alex Ramsey Austin, Texas.

Donna,
I was very sorry to hear of Tommy's death. I agree with other statements that it was always comfortable to see him at our Sam Houston basketball games. The support of your family during those years was greatly appreciated. Thinking back on coaching Jason and on watching Kristen play brings back very good memories. I will join others in praying for God's mercy and His grace to be a real comfort to you and your children and grandchildren.

I only knew Tommy for the four years I lived access the street from him, but he left a lasting impression. I can close my eyes and hear him starting up his police motorcycle as he left for work. He always spoke to me when I wasd outside with the children and he was always interested in sharing what his children were up to and their accomplishments. He was so proud of them. He has been a great friend to all of us on the neighborhood and he will be missed.
My prayers were with Donna and the children.
Signed, Heather (Ashmore) Reeves
