Herb Zollinger

Zollinger Herb Zollinger, 73, of Pataskala, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 5, 2017 following a courageous and hard fought battle. He was a retired postal carrier, where he loved to play pranks on his fellow co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Zollinger and Elizabeth (Crow) Zollinger and his brother and best buddy Bill Glaze. He is survived by his only and favorite child, Amy (Gary) Williams; his brother, Frank Zollinger. His four cats "The boys" Otis, Norbit, Elmer and Wilbert; many nieces and nephews and his loving partner of 16 years Susann Petty, he was a good and sweet man who showed her what true love really is. After retiring from the post office he continued to work delivering the Columbus Dispatch and working at auctions. He had a great passion for auctions, collecting memorabilia, 50's music, golf and antique cars. He will be greatly missed by his very good friends Martha Adams, Tom and Deb Jones, Linda Keys, Craig and Lynn Connelly, Mike Albert and Donard Myers who were with him through every step of this journey. Their help and support will never be forgotten. Herb had a quick wit, always ready with a joke and was a jeopardy champ. He was a very honest, caring and generous man, who would go out of his way to help someone and never expect anything in return. Per his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 28 at the Monroe Township Hall at 7621 Johnstown - Alexandria Rd. (Route 37).
