As the holidays approach the passing of James Ryan weights heavy on the hearts and minds of his family. Now is the time to remember all the things he stood for and loved so much. He will always be with us, the prayers before dinner on thanksgiving and as we gather for the christmas season. I picture him holding hands with us and praying over his family as he did every holiday season or family gathering. As we gather this year we will remember him with love and understanding of his life and all he stood for .

Uncle Allen, You always looked at me with a smile
"Life isn't always fair" You say you were chosen for his garden His preciously hand picked bouquet "God really needed me, That's why I couldn't stay" It's said to be that angels are sent from above I've always had my angel My Uncle Allen - whose heart was filled with love
Wherever the ocean meets the sky there will be fond memories of our life that we spent together. The memories that are most cherished in my heart are the family get togethers Grandma and Grandpa Ryan's Anniversary parties, the family being together at Greenwood Lake Camp and even when I was little watching the family playing in the Salvation Army band and most of all you being there when our family need you. Mostly for Dad and Philip. Uncle Allen I'll never forget you walking over to me after we laided dad to rest I was standing there by myself telling dad I will take care of Chasity for him you walked over gave me a big hug, 'Told me you will do just fine Debi". I have she is a wonderful young lady dad would be very proud of her. Uncle Allen thanks so much for giving us a wonderful service for my brother Philip I still have those memories with me today. You are a wonderful Uncle even though I didn't get to say it much you were always in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. When I look up at that sky so blue all I see are visions of you and my family. What a reunion that is going on right now. Give Grandpa, Grandma Ryan, Daddy, Phil and the rest of the Ryan family a big hug tell them that we love them and miss them. Until one day we all meet again.

When I think of Uncle Allen talking to the 5 of you this is what he would say:
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Thank you for being a shining light in this world. We know you are not far from us but close in our hearts. there are no words to describe the pain that everyone who knew you is feeling. Although we do know that you are in a much better place. All I know is that the day you left us the world lost an ANGEL. No one could ever ask for a better grandfather. I love you so much and I know that I didn't spend the time with you that Tommy has but what time I did spend with you was inspirational and uplifting. Give grandma a big kiss for me.

Hi grandpa. I know we barely talked to each other but you always were the best grandpa. you lead me in the right direction. You taught me to respect people and to thank god for all he has given me. Now i know you are in a better place and can watch me play my sports all the way through college. You will give me the strength to break tackles and hit homers and be able to make plays others can not.Ill miss you. Love you grandpa

You are an inspiration to us all. You showed us all how to be grateful for everything and that the Lord only gives us what we can handle. I was blessed to have you as my father and that my Son's have a wonderful Grandfather like you. Grandpa:
I will miss your laugh the most. I remember you loved to laugh and your laugh was contagious. You were very passionate in everything you did. I believe you taught me to do the same. You changed my life and although I will miss you, I know we will meet again. I am rejoicing for you right now. I love you. Now you can be reunited with your son (my dad), Grandma Vera, and other loved ones. This is a happy occasion. Thanks again for having a positive impact in my life. Grandfather, may you rest in peace and be very happy in heaven with angels. You may not physically present here on earth with us but know you will walk hand in hand with Christ watching over us. My prays are with you all, I wish I could be there, but we can't. I am sorry for your lost, but I am also rejoicing for your Dad is at our saviors right hand, oh how wonderful it must me having no burdens to bare having no pain no sorrow how bless he his today, I know how hard this is but I also know your Dad has waited forever to go to heaven and I know the reunion has begun. I am so glad I had you in my life and I am so blessed by all the years you kept me in your prayers and never gave up on your family, none of us. I will always rmember the day you took Delores, Tony and me to the BIBLE museum, I never felt so love and blessed, it has been a day I will always keep in my heart, and as I look back over all the years and all the wonderful times we had as a family I can't remember you not being there, you have always be in my life, you may not be here now looking over me , but I know I have a new angel with me every day until we meet again real soon in that wonderful sky (yes my heart is heavy,but I also have gladness for you are with our savior)

Allen you will be missed here on earth, but Heaven is a richer place because of your presence. We have fond memories of you during the short three months in Columbus Pontiac.
