RESCH Frank J. Resch, age 76, of Hebron Ohio, passed away October 1, 2010 at the OSU Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 21, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio. Frank was the owner of Resch Bakery, a fourth generation 98 year old Family Business, founded by his immigrant Great Uncle, Frank Resch and Grandfather, William Resch. Frank was a graduate of Aquinas High School and of The Ohio State University, School of Business. He was an U.S. Air Force Pilot, Captain of a Strategic Air Command B-47 Jet Bomber in the 1950s, after which he became the proprietor of the family business. Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Resch; son, Frank X. Resch II and his wife, Kelly of New Albany; daughter, Lisa Resch of New Albany; grandchildren, Frank J. Resch, II, Michelle, David, Zac, and Alex; nephews and nieces; brothers, Stephen Resch and Bill Resch and wife, Pauline; sisters, Gretchen Kramer and husband, Ed, and Martha Garner and husband, Forrest; many beloved employees past and present and as well as his many customers throughout the years. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ida Resch, beloved son Thomas. Frank's family will meet friends Wednesday, October 6, 9:30-11 a.m. at St. Catharine of Sienna Church, 500 S. Gould Road, Columbus, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Michael Lumpe, Celebrant. There will be a private family entombment at a later date by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to The Ohio State University Rhodes Hall Medical Center Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT).
