I never met Sgt Dallas but I encountered him a number of times as fellow customers at Tim Horton's in Pataskala. It was easy to see that this man was gracious, cared about the well-being of those girls at work (including my daughter) and he added a highlight to every day he stopped in there. I was saddened to hear of Jeffs passing. I worked some with him at the Supreme Court of Ohio. Jeff was a gentle giant in my eyes. To his wife Karen and the rest of the family I can only offer the promise our good Lord has promised and that there will be a great reunion one day. God bless you all.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Karen, Jasmine, Mariah and the rest of the Dallas family. Jeff was a brilliant man with a truly generous heart who touched many lives. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know and work with Jeff in the OSHP. His constant smile invited conversation. His demeanor was always that of a polished gentleman. Trooper Dallas was the kindest most helpful person I ever met. He was always there to assist and aid myself and other deputies when he worked in Dayton. I learned a lot from him. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I am sorry for your loss. I met Jeff when he came through the OSP Academy and had opportunities to see him frequently throughout his career. He was a man who lived his life with a high level of "core values". He certainly is a man who you would want in your "foxhole". He will be missed by many. RIP.

Jeff Dallas was one of the best men I have ever known. He strived to make himself better and was a life long student. He, in turn, always encouraged others to better themselves without belittling but truly with encouragement. I had the honor of serving with him at three posts and will never forget him.
