Phyllis Ann Jones

JONES Mrs. Phyllis Ann (Bird) Jones, 74, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, March 8, 2010 after major surgery and a long battle with cancer. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was born on March 19, 1935 and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1957 where she met and later married her surviving husband, Hoyt Paul Jones. They were married for 52 years. She is also survived by her three sons, Matthew Jones and his wife, Deborah and their daughter, Jennifer of Fayetteville, Georgia; Bradley Jones and his wife, Janet and their children, Lauren and Daniel of Upper Arlington, Ohio; and Steven Jones and his girlfriend, Sherri Morrow of Powell, Ohio. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Joseph P. and Winifred A. (Drake) Bird, and her sister Nancy (Bird) Roach. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
