Wayne and Christy, I am so sorry for the loss you have suffered. Tyler was a great friend to me in Glenbeigh. He was the first to approach me and he was so inviting and wanted nothing but to be my friend. You don't come accross too many people with a heart like Tyler's. I cannot possibly convey my sorrow for you and your family in this message. The loss of your son, Tyler, hurts beyond what the physical can feel. My heart yearns for the both of you. I received the package you sent to me. It was filled with memories that I will forever cherish. It is very difficult to write these words, for Tyler meant a lot to me. I appreciate you using the quote that I gave him a few years back. That quote means more to me than many of the motivational sayings you hang up on a bathroom mirror. I truly live by those words, for they represent what life means to me at its fullest. It is humbling to know that those words were able to influence Tyler and will continue on for others to read. Though I only knew Tyler for 3 weeks, the man I had gotten to know was truly one of the best people I could hope to meet. His smile was infectious; I never saw him without it, and when I was with him, I couldn't stop smiling either. I am blessed to have met Tyler, and I will always remember him. I worked for the Zips during two seasons Tyler was there. He was definitely one of my favorites. He would always come into my office knowing that I had an endless supply of candy. Often, I would make him arm-wrestle me for some of it. He was such a sweetheart and I will truly miss him. He is TRULY in a better place, whether or not we would rather he be here with us. I did not know Tyler well, but we had Algebra together in high school. He was always very kind and funny. My mother passed away unexpectedly about a year and a half ago, so I know what you are going through. Time heals all, and the best advice I can give, is to keep living life as Tyler would have wanted you to, and know that he is in a far better place now with his troubles behind him.
