Anne M. Wickham

WICKHAM Anne M. Wickham, 62, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Hospice of Cincinnati. She was Special Assistant for Public Outreach and Intergovernmental Relations for the U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC). Previously she served as Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. Department of State, among other governmental roles. She was an active member of several full gospel churches through the years. An avid genealogist, environmentalist and activist, she authored or co-authored several publications on these subjects and received numerous awards for her accomplishments. She was an inspiration and a mentor to many with her down-to-earth wisdom, humor, dedication and unwavering faith. Survivors include her sister, Jane Higgins of N. Chelmsford, Mass.; her brothers, Robert Wickham of Round Rock, Tex. and Thomas Wickham of Danville, Pa.; eight nieces and nephews; and several grand nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life in story and song will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Christian Community Church North in Columbus, Oh. accompanied by a potluck luncheon.
