My dad, Harold Sturgill, worked at the post office with Carl. I remember going to the baseball field with my sisters to watch dad play softball with Mr. Loftus. Mom and Dad retired to SC 20 years ago and Dad hadn't seen Carl in a very long time. Even though it has been a lot of years since they spoke, my dad was genuinely saddened to hear of Carl's passing. Prayers of comfort for Carl's wife, Ethel,and for the family.

My wife and I both knew Carl over thirty years. In those thirty plus years, I never heard a disparaging remark from him about anyone. He was good natured and an extremely kind man. This world has lost a good man but our Lord has got another good ambassador for Himself in Heaven. Goodbye Carl, you'll be missed! Our sympathy to his wife and family. Nori & Joe.

I had the opportunity to play softball with Carl for several years. He was a wonderful man. My prayers are with his wife and family.
