Phillip Manus Obituary

Manus Phillip Manus, passed away at the age of 94 on Friday, May 30, 2014. He was born March 19, 1920 to Phillip Manus Sr. and Nellie Bush Manus. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was an Infantry Sergeant in the South Pacific. Phillip was a Circulation Manager for over forty years with The Columbus Dispatch. His wife, Kay, of 63 years preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Phillip Roger Manus of Sarasota, Florida; and a daughter, Diane Manus (Richard Tangle) of Billings, Montana. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is additionally survived by three sisters, Dorothy Stokes of Whitehall, Michigan, Ann Manus of Sun City, Arizona and Patricia Green (David) of Peoria, Arizona. He had many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, Tuesday, June 10 from 4-7 p.m. Service will be held there on Wednesday, June 11 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel West Hospice or the charity of choice.
