Rob Tatum...my friend, my peer ('82), and my idol. How great is a guy when you idolize him and he's the SAME age as you? Rob set the bar high for all of us on the court and off. Great MAN. We all just lost a lil' bit of our youth with his passing but, if we're lucky, we will see him again!

To the Tatum Family,
Robert Tatum was one of the wonderful sons I never had. He led our teams to Championships and we loved him.
Heaven must be a beautiful place, because it has so many special people up above.
Robert will always be your Guardian Angel, watching everything you are doing, but when you are doing something you don't want him to see, he'll close his eyes, because that is how much he loved all of you. Robert was a total gentleman all the way, and we'll miss him and always love him.

I played against Rob in HS and we were teammates at Ohio University. Rob and Big John Rhodes hosted me and Jerry Francis on our official visit in the fall of 1985 and was one of the main reasons I chose to play for the Bobcats. We worked out together in the summer before my freshman season. Rob helped me prepare for life as a college basketball player. Rob pushed me and made be better. He was one of the best Columbus City League and Ohio University Basketball players to ever put on a uniform. I can still hear Rob telling me, "Reg you better get ready for coach Nee". Rob helped me get ready and I will always appreciate and never forget what he did for me. Rob was a great teammate and will be missed.
