Dr. Vera Maletic

Maletic Dr. Vera Maletic, Professor Emerita , Department of Dance at The Ohio State University, died peacefully on October 15, 2015 at age 87. She was an internationally renowned dance scholar for her work in Laban Studies, exemplified in her definitive book: "Body - Space - Expression: The Development of Rudolf Laban's Movement and Dance Concepts". Her scholarship and teaching influenced generations of her colleagues and students. She is survived by her nephew, Vanja Maletic of Zagreb, Croatia, where she will be buried in the family vault. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Dance Preservation Fund (641562), supporting the production and use of Labanotation dance scores, or to the Vera J. Blaine Special Projects Fund (305892), to support students' creative projects in dance, and mailed to the The Ohio State University Department of Dance.
