Bernice Lewis Obituary
Bernice "Basie" E. Lewis, age 89, went peacefully and quietly at Brookdale Lakeview Crossing on Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Meredith and Daisy Jones, husband Sylvester S. Lewis, brother Edward Meredith and sister Edna M. Finch. Bernice is survived by her daughter, Sandra Talbert; grandchildren, Derek Talbert and Dana Talbert-Raymond (Brent); six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church, 1127 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Columbus, OH 43203. The family of Bernice would like specially thank Brookdale Hospice. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. Arrangements by WHITE'S FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, 867 S.
