Jimmy Hinson

Jimmy Hinson, age 49 of LaVergne, died Wednesday at his home.

He was a native of Milan, TN and a member of Barfield Baptist Church. A lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan, he was a graduate of Holloway High School and had worked at Cummings Sign in Murfreesboro, and was currently employed by Smith Bros. Car Wash in Smyrna.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Milbern McCartney and paternal grandparents, Levi and Julia Hinson.

Jimmy is survived by his father, James "Jim" Hinson of LaVergne; his mother, Lavonda Hinson; maternal grandmother, Mildred McCartney of Bradford, TN; a sister, Ragina (Ronnie) Young; brother, Ronnie Hinson; niece, Brandy Ferrara and great-niece, Aubryn Ferrara, all of Murfreesboro.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 12 Noon until the time of funeral services beginning at 2 p.m., in the Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro (615) 893-5151. Online condolences may be made at www.woodfinchapel.com
