Christy Ridley

Christy Ridley died on January 6, 2015. He was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on February 13, 1927.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Thomas Ridley and Margaret Christy Ridley; his wife, Dr. Jeanne Clare Ridley; brother, Oscar Thomas Ridley III and wife Sue Donnell Ridley.

He is survived by his sister, Lee Ridley Fly of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Pat Haggerty of Hingman, Massachusetts; aunt, Margaret Wood of Three Lakes, Wisconsin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Christy served in the Army during the Korean War as an interpreter because of his linguistic skills. He graduated from Vanderbilt Law School. He furthered his education at Columbia in New York City to study being a law librarian. After his retirement, he constructed crossword puzzles for The New York Times.

He will be buried in North Brookfield, Massachusetts with a Memorial service at a later date. Those who wish, may make donations to the charity of their choice in his memory.
