William Viers Obituary
He was born May 6, 1952 at Dodge City, the son of Willis Dean and Betty G. Trujillo Viers. He was a graduate of Dodge City High School, received his Associates Degree from Dodge City Community College in 1972 and attended St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City. He worked for Curtis Machine and Weber Refrigeration both in Dodge City. He enjoyed his aquariums, fishing, music and playing the violin.
On January 2, 2002 he married Cindy Foster at Dodge City.
Survivors include: his wife, Dodge City; 2 daughters, Amy Leiker and husband Billy, Girard, Kansas and Lashaundra Quintero, Buffalo, Oklahoma; 3 sons, Shea Foster and wife Deborah, Dodge City, Gabriel Blea, Lakin and Cody Quintero, Los Angeles, California; his mother, Betty, Dodge City; 2 sisters, Linda K. Holeman and Diana J. Viers both of Dodge City; his dog, Jake; 15 grandchildren, Monique Sanchez, Jazzmine Blea, Marina Guerrero, Malika Sanchez, Britani Quintero, Cecilia Wiser, Jordan Blea, Aubrie Quintero, Angelina Blea, Jael Rhymer, Julie Weber, Mossiah Rhymer, Elijah Rhymer, Jazmyne Turner, Lonnie Turner, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Ronald Viers, granddaughter, Breanna Fletcher.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 31, 2014 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Minister Brad Foster and Rev. Vernon Bogart officiating. The family requests casual attire. Friends may call from noon to 5:00 pm Thursday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the William Viers Memorial Fund in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801. Condolences may be sent to www.zieglerfuneralchapel.com.
